Hooptober #6: USA, 1970s, 3 of 5 Films from De Palma, Wes Craven, Ken Russell, Hitchcock and/or Morehead & Benson
The more I think about this movie, the more I kinda love it. I'm surprised this didn't catch on in the same way Rocky Horror did. It references quite a few classic horror stories, but it's also something completely different and so weird that I can't help but be impressed. I liked the music, although I found Phoenix's number a pretty big letdown after Beef's electrifying (heh) performance.
