Hooptober IX Film 11/31

I find it difficult to objectively rate films like this - this was my first time watching a silent movie, and honestly I found it a slog to get through at times. I don’t know if it’s my ADHD or what. But that’s not to say this film isn’t a marvel - 100 years old and still influential. The monster looks fantastic, even to this day, I can’t imagine how they felt about it a century ago!
Also really interesting to note this is in the aftermath of the Spanish Flu pandemic, you can really see the fears of the time seeping into this vampire movie.
