Hooptober IX Film 7/31

I saw several reviews comparing this to Twin Peaks, my all time favourite series, and got incredibly excited. Though the subject of this faux documentary bears more than a passing resemblance to the tragic life & death of Laura Palmer, the similarities to Lynch’s seminal work end there.

It achieves what it set out to pretty well - its a slow-burn that takes you on an emotional journey, more of a creepy psychological horror than an outright scare-fest.
