Hooptober IX Film 6/31

Hilariously dated but very unsettling with some moments of genius scattered throughout. Thoroughly deserves a place amongst the best horrors to come out of Japan. The themes of isolation and depression simmering just barely beneath the surface makes this instantly re-watchable, a film I’m sure I’ll be revisiting in the future.
