I saw the original Children of the Corn film nearly six years ago as an entry in the very first Hooptober challenge that I was apart of and while I found the final product of that film to be a mildly mediocre film but entertaining nonetheless - it should’ve stopped after that. The most surprising thing I found is not only did that film get a sequel - but it got six! I figured it was a safe bet to just jump right into this without rewatching the first because of the things I’ve heard and frankly that’s the truth. I don’t think you can really improve this more than just not watching it. It’s a straight-to-dvd film that feels like you find at the bottom of a Walmart dvd bin, say “wow I didn’t know they made six of these,” and then put it back because it looks horrible! It’s not coherent, the story simply does not do anything interesting with the source (it’s actually *more* bland) and I just don’t understand much of any of it. Children of the Corn 666: Isaac’s Return belongs in the bottom of the bottom; BUT it gets a 1/2 star boost simply because I was laughing at the ending “reveal” and it deserves that boost!
