LaMilton "Shurlock" Hubbart (born April 4, 1972 in Birmingham) is a music producer, poet and emcee.

Hubbart is the son of Frankie Tippett. He grew up in Kingston and attended Dupuy Elementary School. He became determined to get into the music business in 4th grade when his god-sister took him to see New Edition at the BJCC. He began making beats for a group called Gennera3 while at Woodlawn High School and taught himself new tools as they were able to afford them. After graduating in 1990 he enrolled at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. One summer he worked as a "ghost producer" for Arrested Development.

Meanwhile, a cassette tape of beats Hubbart had made in high school was still circulating, and he stumbled into an opportunity to produce tracks for Bossman at an upstart studio in Tarrant. After that he went to work for Chip Records, and then at at Bates Brothers Recording Studio in Hueytown. It was there that he caught the notice of LeNard Brown, a founding member of The Controllers.

In 1994 Hubbart moved to Atlanta, Georgia. He worked with a variety of artists, including Xscape, Ghost Town DJs, and Deidra Gaddis, and collaborated with fellow producer Byron the Aquarius. While in Atlanta, he discovered that his manager had been embezzling from him. He moved back into his mother's house and experienced symptoms of depression.

In 1996 Hubbart enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served aboard the frigate USS Ford (FFG-54) based in Everett, Washington. During a sharp turn in Alaskan waters near Kodiak, Hubbart was thrown off the deck and lost consciousness. After three days afloat in a bright-orange "Anti-Exposure Worksuit" he was rescued by a Seals team and treated at a hospital in San Diego, California. He received his honorable discharge in 1999. After another two years in Birmingham, where he helped his mother undergo treatment for breast cancer, he moved back to Washington.

Hubbart enjoyed some success producing music and touring with his sister on the West Coast. He was married in 2008, but found that his wife was unfaithful, which led to their divorce in 2011 and a more challenging bout with depression. He credits the love of friends for escaping death from suicide. Since being treated successfully he has been an outspoken advocate for early detection and treatment of depression, especially in men.

In 2010 Hubbart launched WoodGrayne Entertainment and BIgDawg Records as an outlet for his production work.
