Brian Christine
Brian Christine is a urologic surgeon with Urology Centers of Alabama in Homewood, and a nominee for Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Christine earned his medical degree at the Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed his residency in urology at UAB Hospital. As a practitioner he transitioned from general urology to his specialty in men's sexual health and prosthetic urology, and is recognized as an expert in that field.
Christine has been active in the Alabama Republican Party. He qualified to challenge incumbent Dan Roberts for Alabama Senate District 15 in the 2022 Republican primary, but lost by a 60-40 margin. He began campaigning for the open seat on the Jefferson County Commission left by Steve Ammon's resignation, but withdrew from the race and endorsed winning candidate Mike Bolin.
Christine donated at least $6,600 to Donald Trump's campaign during the 2024 election season. In March 2025 President Donald Trump nominated Christine to succeed Rachel Levine as Assistant HHS Director. He testified at a confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on July 16.
