Sign-ups!

Comment on this post to sign up for the challenge; please specify whether you are planning to submit fic or art. If you already have a good idea of what band(s) you’re going to be writing, include that as well (although you will by no means be held to this choice).

Please note that this is NOT the prompts claiming post – that will go up between 9:00 and 10:00 AM CST on Saturday, July 18th. You must sign up here before claiming a prompt.

A quick overview of the requirements:

• Stories must be at least 1000 words long.


• All submissions are due on September 30th. If you need to turn yours in early, that is absolutely fine (if you need to do this, let me know in a comment or private message). If you get your first prompt done early and want to come back to claim a second, wonderful!


• You can use stories that you’ve already started as long as they haven’t been posted in a complete format elsewhere (posting snippets to your journal is fine).


• You are welcome to write sequels or prequels to preexisting stories, but the story itself should be able to stand on its own.


• Co-writing (or drawing) is allowed.


• This is not a fic exchange, so if you sign up and then can’t make the deadline after all, you can drop out without any penalty or stigma.

Bands that currently have at least one prompt: Panic at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, The Academy Is…, The Used, The Hush Sound, The Cab, Empires, Hey Monday, Taking Back Sunday, Green Day. This is not a closed list – prompts are open here until Friday, July 17th, so feel free to come fix any glaring omissions in the band list.
