Maotsedude Album of the year Favorite track: Mind Room.
    UnspeakableHastur thumbnail
UnspeakableHastur I find that I like slowcore type stuff more when it sounds like a punk band is playing sad because they feel sad. No intentional muffled stuff. This scratches that itch. Favorite track: New Brain.
    djmadi83 thumbnail
djmadi83 Not only post-rock flavours but an experimental vision that reminds me of early Pavement, Fugazi, Hood. Favorite track: Egoizing.

    stargazing robot thumbnail
stargazing robot Better late to the party than never. How did I miss this band? It's a great blend of The Cure during their 'a forest' period and alternative rock. The first track Grandview plunges you into an ocean of psychodelic guitars and rythmic drums and like a siren lures you into the depths. A very accomplished album and although I wouldn't categorize it as Gothic it captures the early spirit of that dusty genre better than most contemporary bands nowadays. Favorite track: Grandview.
cold purveryor of narcotic death thumbnail
cold purveryor of narcotic death Personally still my favorite SK album. Favorite track: Hit The Floor.
    CARPAGE thumbnail
CARPAGE Blending influences of Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division, and The Cure into one song is quite an accomplishment.
Hit The Floor does that, but rises into a genre defining, stellar track. Marvelous song, and a must have LP. Favorite track: Hit The Floor.

strangedisciple Whole thing slaps. Would also love to hear them do a full album like the second half of Darling.

gulfcoastfishman Your on the right path. A few great mentors to share your vision with might be MNNQNS from France , Temples from the UK and MCC from Sweden , and Manic Street Preachers to test your skills . Unfortunately the number one rule is there is no plan B. That hurdle is sometimes the hardest , or the easiest. 🤘

    yakuzadog14 thumbnail
yakuzadog14 Excellent debut by this trio! Feels like a fusion of High Tide's Sea Shanties album and Super AE by Boredoms. Really propulsive and incendiary. Can't wait to hear more by them! Favorite track: Nowhere But Here.
    samolud thumbnail
    samolud Zajebisty sound ! Dziewczyny.
    dvuksan thumbnail
dvuksan I was playing some music in the background while doing some work and forgot what I was listening to for a moment and thought to myself: this is such an excellent and innovative King Crimson album from the 70s, why haven't I heard it before (but to make it clear, it is very much its own thing and not a copy of anything). Highly recommended!
