SalDiOr Long ago, from Projekt label catalog, I had discovered Lycia. I didn't put some attention to them until one track from a compilation called Broken days catch my eye and my ears. I love Lycia, since then. Favorite track: Broken Days.

    rikm thumbnail
rikm Largely acoustic with minimal electronics, "Tripping Back Into the Broken Days" is a deeply intimate listening experience for fans of Lycia, a stunning showcase of vocal and musical talents.

A transcendent set of songs that appeal on multiple levels...
    Channel83Cable12 thumbnail
Channel83Cable12 Time and time again, Lycia straddles the perfect balance of maintaining their perfect, gorgeously dark sound while also putting just enough of a new spin on it somehow. The stripped-down instrumentation here is a testament to what a rock-solid grip they've maintained on good songwriting over multiple decades.

Jordan It is insane how consistently good Lycia's music is. 30 years or so since the inception of the band and Lycia dropped one of their best albums ever. The production is fresh and the song variety is like a journey through their discography. Favorite track: Autumn Into Winter.
    eldenioniaring thumbnail
eldenioniaring One of my favorite "newer" songs by Lycia. Like this, try "Drifting" on their "Cold" album. Favorite track: Autumn Into Winter.

Lake of Berra A mighty and beautiful work, Steve goes from strength to strength, everything from No Wilderness Deep Enough onward reveals a soul on fire. So glad to be able to listen to this album beneath the Hunter's Moon. Favorite track: Herne's Oak.
    njordmannen thumbnail
njordmannen I think it is fitting to write a review of the Triptych as a whole piece.

Having listened to it back to back a few times now, I really love this project. The experimentation and samples are great, like The Hag of Beara vs the poet, Nocturnal Field Song & Snow Spirits to name a few highlights.

I hope he pushes more into this on future projects. Favorite track: Clouds Are Relatives (The Bug - 'Amtrak Dub Mix').
