Ben Harris Unrushed, deceptively breezy techno that no doubt belies the layers of complexity that goes into their creation. The song Eternal City sounds far more venerable and magnificently antiquated than it has any right to be - make my neurons shiver and my nerves sing. Favorite track: Eternal City.

Omaan Ilian tape is a label that often excites me, but when it's an FDW release it's special. Favorite track: Möbius.
    Guillaume thumbnail
Guillaume Personal standout: the mental, siren🚨tense Möbius. Liquid, grainy and bleepy roller, this tracks’ strength are the fluttering glass tones encountering a broken and dry kick/snare pattern, while slowly, a distant alarm is creeping in and drones are pressuring the overall halftime soundscape. We can literally picture glassy hanging tubes brushing in the blow of a busy city. The clouds are clearly showing a storm is coming. Favorite track: Möbius.

Nic Brown Northern Electronics have already released a clutch of exceptional records this year, Varg's "Ursviken" and Acronym's "June" to name but two, but this EP tops the lot with knobs on. "Taotast" is deep techno in excelsis, three heaving masses of polyrhythmic pyrotechnics capped by the utterly astonishing title track which will have revellers' jaws hitting the floor en masse whenever it's played out. A paragon of gobsmacking prosiliency. Favorite track: Taotast.
