sashavonkarl74 Love these Aussies! This is modern DM with a touch of technical and low growls vox, deep, and slow at times. Great tempo changes by the way which keep you on your toes, and break your neck too if you try to bang your head along :)

FFO Asphyx, Cianide, etc. Favorite track: Reincarnate.
    Chimplord thumbnail
Chimplord The rest of the album is as great as the first two singles. It's my album of the year.
    Brutal and punishing grooves.
Holy crap, Devourer is HEAVY, elephant balls heavy. Favorite track: Blood Offering.
    Azza thumbnail
Azza Love the production on this beast, the sound is freaking huge, so heavy! Hope to see you in Brisbane again soon!
    Elased thumbnail
Elased How could death metal sound even better? Ashen's new album has everything your heart desires! A feast for the senses! A touch of symphonic, a significant dose of doom, progressive influences (especially in the drums) – the rest is pure energy and pure passion that gets under your skin.
No favorite song: just listen to the whole album!

Brent Davis Mr Embury's bass playing always does it for me - the drums, guitar, & vocals are also on point - pro's, all.

    Utterly splendid!

    EvilBastard thumbnail
EvilBastard That perfect middle ground between black metal and funeral doom. Hauntingly beautiful. Favorite track: Wriithe.
    zionengine thumbnail
zionengine Operatic doom metal with subterranean vocals. For all that, spelling each song with two "i"s suggests an ember of humor in the ashes. For those of us who miss Virgin Black, Spiine is a comforting sliice of gloom piie. Favorite track: Myroblysiia.
    Cordial Despair thumbnail
Cordial Despair This is very experimental and complete feeling. I love the flux between the funeral doom, faster(haha) doom, and DSBM. The atmospheres and orchestral elements are just very beautifully added. The vocals are so raw and remind me a bit of the vocals in an atmospheric sludge band called North. This will be a gem to treasure forever. So glad I preordered and can’t wait for my merch so I can rep it proudly!! Favorite track: Oubliiette.

chaminou-le-chattoyant Underated band , hope we get a new release 🤘 Favorite track: Spitfire.
    xondrell thumbnail
xondrell An absolutely relentless death/thrash album with homages to speed metal and/or tech thrash. Every song has it's own identity and highlights, but my favourite is Spitfire - the whole song is an avalanche of highlights. I love the cover of Street Lethal on here as well, the harsh vocals bring a renewed energy to a classic track rather than hindering it, as does the modern production, and makes me appreciate the track from a different perspective. Favorite track: Spitfire.
    Evert Nip thumbnail
Evert Nip An amazing combination between the genres of Death, Black and Thrash Metal that delivers this intense and energetic album that crushes all the bones in your body! Favorite track: Spitfire.

    napalmsatan thumbnail
napalmsatan Even for this genre the sheer intensity of this album always manages to floor me. Might not be the most unique album under the sun but it doesn't have to be; the performances are tight and ferocious, the songwriting is dynamic and explosive, the production is crushing, it's just all things to a mathcore fan. Favorite track: L'Appel Du Vide.
    Alan O'Callaghan thumbnail
Alan O'Callaghan So angry, and with good reason Favorite track: Wounds Upon My Skin.

Mirrors is just good enough for me to forgive the fact that every time i think abt this album i have to remember the name of the band that made it. which is to say that it's fantastic. Favorite track: Mirrors Are More Fun Than Television.
