headbangerd17 This album didn't click with me at first. i guess it was because my brain was distracted because upon the second listen I realized that this is amazing and the type of thing that keeps me listening to metal. The soundscape, the atmosphere, these guys really don't miss. Thank you metalstorm for introducing me to one of the best bands of the 2020s. Can't single out a favorite song. Whole album is amazing.

thekurtaction This album represents the vision of Opeth executed at a level of mastery Opeth never achieved. Despite all the hype, this is still an underrated release in my opinion. It's really that good! Favorite track: Frost Flower.

phantomleafaudio I am in love with the range and artistry of this album, from ambient mellow soundscapes to blasting explosions of power. The extended guitar solo in Tear Down This Holy Mountain and the final act of In the Heavens Above, You Will Become A Monster with the female vocalist are my favorite moments Favorite track: In The Heavens Above, You Will Become A Monster.

cloudednine This album is a journey, and it will take you to serene and beautiful places, loud and dissonant places, spacious places, angry, open, heavy and smooth places, above it all you will soar. Favorite track: This Torment Has No End, Only New Beginnings.

    dickersdone thumbnail
dickersdone It’s extremely difficult to describe this album, but simply put, this is Mr Bungle with growls, or Diablo Swing Orchestra with opossums screeches and death metal riffs.

Between the magnificent art work, the grooves, the straight-up incomprehensible moments, and the quirkiness of their live sets, Flummox got me HOOKED. Favorite track: Long Pork.

David Fischer The year is 2022, Empyrean got released - and still people are shitting on Undying Light.
Enter: me! I enjoyed this album a lot since its release. There are some solid ass songs to find here, some of my favourite Fallujah songs even. Undying Light had some glaring weaknesses, was far from perfect, vocally incredibly one-sided - but also really interesting, very atmospheric and a bold experiment. It deserves better (and sounds great). Also, it's been three years. Get the fuck over it. Favorite track: Dopamine.
