Sean I hear so many great things in this: varieties of industrial from Pharmakon and Ana Fosca to Nine Inch Nails, gothic and blackened post-metal background atmospheres with some Skinny Puppy ambient pieces, and much more. But Sam An has created her own original liminal space between all of these genres, which for me makes this pretty essential listening.

Sean Whitaker Seven degrees of separation to Lana Del Rey…While participating in a YouTube chat with cEvin Key, he was interviewing an OG DJ Baseck. After watching him perform I did a deep dive into the music of Baseck and saw that he remixed another musician, Lana Del Rabies. Being a hugh fan of Ms. Rey I did another deep dive into Ms. Rabies music/sound. And here we are. Kicking myself for not discovering you sooner but appreciative to be on board now !! Marla Aidan Baker found and showed me the fucking diamond again. I discovered her thanks to his album Labyrinthine, where she sang in Blurred. I'm so happy to host her in my headphones. Huge talent, amazing vocal range and experiments without fear, outside of the schemes. Unpredictable, powerful and refined. I'm waiting for more and more! Favorite track: Blackheart Breakables.
