  1. Inside Architecture - Library Volume One
    by Phaserland
    supported by
    David Rotenburger thumbnail
David Rotenburger Very upbeat and thoughtful album that is consistent with Phaserland's usual style of high quality synthwave that he is known for! I find this fulfilling as well as entertaining! Favorite track: Carpet Steps.

eric stout Just what I needed in a post-covid environment. Praise be to Phaserland! This music is a bright light of optimism in a dark world permeating with negativity. Favorite track: The Living World.
    b thumbnail
b Never clicked "Buy" so fast, I just knew this would be awesome and it did not disappoint. Perhaps the most casual and polished of Phaserland's great catalog. Works great as both background music to any activity as well as a careful sit down and listen to pick up on all the little ear treasures this artist is known for. Favorite track: Disks on the Desk.
    blackstonesw thumbnail
blackstonesw Coming back to this release 4 years later and enjoying the nuance, complexity and wide range of tones is a treat. It evokes a period in time that really only exists in snippets of memory - but does so through an immaculate presentation with modern sensibilities that keep you listening. Favorite track: Disks on the Desk.

  2. Phaserland - Night Talk In Paradise
    by Phaserland

    kmxexii thumbnail
kmxexii This is such a lush sounding album with a boat load of synth tones I rarely hear in the works of other authors, with tons of exotic chords and switch-ups. I think the opener "Top of the Needle" does a great job showing off his strengths. I also really love "Sky Structure 84 E" with its various build-ups and the synth-tones of "The Dangers of Android Love", which has the artist playing with what sounds like a Speak and Spell. Too smooth for some, perhaps, but perfect for me. Favorite track: Phaserland - Top of The Needle (Original).
    Jared Leckie thumbnail
Jared Leckie Phaserland is one of the best in Synthwave. This album is pure 80's escapism and the guitar is just dynamite.

These are highly cinematic tracks that will whisk you away into a world you don't want to leave :D 10/10 Favorite track: Phaserland - Alone in Paradise (Original).

  3. Electric Atlantic

    amiko thumbnail
amiko One of the best pure play synthwave albums in my collection. From bubble gum poppy dance tracks to more subtle and nuanced offerings, this has got to be a high water mark for Phaserland. The vocalists all add something unique to the vocal tracks, but have to call our Nikki Dodds as a sincere highlight of the album...I would be quite happy to see Phaserland collaborate with the talented Ms. Dodds in the future. They seem a really great fit. Favorite track: Electric Atlantic - Feat Nikki Dodds.
    morrrigan thumbnail
morrrigan Just such excellent vibes. Favorite track: Hot Stunner - Feat Nikki Dodds.
    kmxexii thumbnail
kmxexii Phaserland continues with his lush, complex arrangements accented with what is often subtle guitar work. The tone of this album leans more toward synth-pop, featuring three vocal performances from Nikki Dodds and one from Heidi in the lovely "Midnight Steps". It's smooth nostalgiasmithing, with collabs from SK, SG, and Starforce, but if the instrumentals of his debut grab you harder, check out the very cool "Beyond the Factory". "Soft Scene" is a sweet portrayal of innocent romance at the beach. Favorite track: Beyond the Factory.

  4. Signal
    by Android Automatic

    kmxexii thumbnail
kmxexii Spaceship Android takes a trip to the beach. "Somewhere Along the Coast" is fun outrun in the sun with a disco beat that drifts in and out. "The Signal" begins with a lo-fi sound then cuts to normal with a spacey, astral sound. "Cruise" is another fun track that switches bakc and forth between funk and outrun with some nice guitar work. "Saw Her Yesterday" is my favorite, though, a slice of teen dreams with a bittersweet edge. Unrequited love? A past romance? The music's tone only tells so much. Favorite track: Saw Her Yesterday.
    FE thumbnail
FE Hugely impressive EP. Nothing here but 4 highly addictive slices of synthwave music. All killer and no filler, as they say. Favorite track: Saw Her Yesterday.

  2. DRIFTING DREAMER - The Midnight Drive EP
    by Wave Runner Records

    kmxexii thumbnail
kmxexii Drifting Dreamer's debut shows that he can make some serviceable outrun. The delivery is a little rough, but the action's there. My favorite is "Semi Automatic Neon Love", a blazing track with some cool chord action. Dark synth fans might enjoy "Runaway", another chill midnight stroll through the darker side of town. And, then, there's "Space Age Romance", for a shot of summer in the stars. Add some more dynamic contrast and I'd be set. Favorite track: DRIFTING DREAMER - Semi Automatic Neon Love (Original).
    Morts thumbnail
Morts Another great example of how electronic music is supposed to sound! Not the best retro-electro release around, but still a strong offering and worth listening to. Smooth, clear production values backed up by melody with all sorts of things happening to take in along the way. Favorite track: DRIFTING DREAMER - Midnight Drive Theme (Original).
    Future 80's Records thumbnail
Future 80's Records Great album, great driving music, I just had to have it in my car. And the Runaway track really hit the spot. Good job! Favorite track: DRIFTING DREAMER - Runaway (Original).
