    by Bitter Branches

    Adam Rosenberg thumbnail
Adam Rosenberg This album is AMAZING!!!! The first 3 songs, Rat Poison / Cave Dwellers / Pity Party, are all insanely great. With ferocity & lyrics that come straight from the heart of a fully present vegan, holding nothing back & screaming truth into the silent void… Favorite track: Pity Party.
    Adam Andrade thumbnail
Adam Andrade You know that wearied tattooed old guy at the local dive bar, who's just over this shit, is secretly the coolest guy you've ever met? This is the album equivalent of that legend Favorite track: Posture Contest.

    Les_Insufferables thumbnail
Les_Insufferables The Dandy Warhols are my third favorite band (of hundreds), all because someone gave me a copy of this album one day about a million years ago. The guitar solo in "Mohammed" warms my soul and chills my spine. Thirteen Tales is absolutely perfect, from start to finish, and after a few replays of favorite songs.

humongouslomghonogoufungus His sound evokes coarse and powerful techno/house. Really sick stuff and meant a lot to me when it came out. Favorite track: House vs. House.
    Christian thumbnail
Christian Unbelievable emotion on this track. Favorite track: Love Is a Parasite.
    Jay thumbnail
Jay a powerful, filmic project from Blanck Mass. This and In Ferneaux are about as close as you're getting to electronic perfection. Favorite track: Wings of Hate.

    Derek Williams thumbnail
Derek Williams Duck are one of the greatest delights of 2016 for me. Having enjoyed seeing them live twice (and played live with them once) they just have a phenomenal scrunchy minimal but catchy sound that is utterly irresistible.

As I've mentioned many times, the sound often reminds me of early Shamen meets L7 and Fuzzbox.

Sublime. Shame Sirens isn't on here though... Favorite track: Lip on the Floor.

UAR Love this version Courtney Favorite track: I Keep A Close Watch (John Cale cover).
    Gavin Hellyer thumbnail
Gavin Hellyer Well, the A Side is a great and well established album track, but I am so delighted with the B Side choice and version. I reckon John Cale to be the single most important figure in all of modern music and I am not surprised that a young artist as great as Courtney should choose to cover one of his songs. Favorite track: I Keep A Close Watch (John Cale cover).
