spacciathemax Ciao! Fugitive 🎸,born from Blake Ibanez after the death of Riley Gale (R.I.P.❤️), share a violent sound and devastating rhythms 🥁 with Power Trip. The differences are clear.Power Trip offer a fast crossover thrash/hardcore⚡, with articulate riffs and sharp solos 🪒. Fugitive, guided by the death vocals (Obituary style 💀) of Seth Gilmore (now also singer of Power Trip),veer towards a slower and more martial thrash/death metal ⚡. It will be interesting to discover their future evolution! 🌪️ Favorite track: Raise The Dead.
    Lute FP thumbnail
Lute FP Some bands just do thrash right, and when they do, I buy. Leaning towards death in the vocals, but by no means of cookie monster brand. Everything is just right here.

Update- after a couple weeks of constant spins, I have to say this is possibly the best modern thrash I’ve heard in a long time. The drumming is off the chain, and the riffs and changeups are evidence of genius level songwriting. I gotta dig deeper into the band members.
    Rat Bastard thumbnail
Rat Bastard can't describe this better than death thrash with John Tardy style Vocals, and some awesome rock and roll style solos. they just fucking giver!! for fans of good music, recommending and supporting!

azeciri Since hearing this for the first time in the 90's on a radio station in Joliet, IL this album has changed my life. From the expertly crafted weaving bass lines, perfectly technical drum parts and massive guitars, this album is truly a magnum opus and a benchmark for me as a musician. Favorite track: Coin Toss (2026).

wicked awesome, Suicidal Tendencies vibes all over this.
    Old Man Doom thumbnail
Old Man Doom I always loved Rocky George's style of playing and his time in ST. These guys do a damn good job imitating that era. Probably one of the best non-ST albums out there.

    Harold N’Hiver thumbnail
Harold N’Hiver I don’t listen to much instrumental post-rock/post-metal these days, but I’ll always have a place in my library for Pelican. While this may not live up to the grandeur of The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw (nothing does - it’s their masterpiece, an absolute perfect record), this is still a really terrific album. It has the sound of summer evenings, driving on the highway in search of something, anything, to ignite a spark in our lives. Pelican is ultimately that spark. Well done, boys! Favorite track: Flickering Stillness.
    Crinklechips thumbnail
Crinklechips I was late to discover Pelican but now I know them I can’t get enough. This long awaited album is instrumental rock perfection!
    shininggenji thumbnail
shininggenji I haven't been this excited about a non-classical music album for years. The whole thing just simply ROCKS. It has all the stuff that made The Promise Ring, Hum and all those 90's bands so good (melodies, riffs and momentum) and nothing of what made them suck a bit (trite lyrics, terrible vocalists). Oh, and its perfectly heavy too.

Looking forward to seeing these tracks live! My pop/rock album of the year 2025. Favorite track: Gulch.
