isaacbarro Amazing body of work. Sounds like the future of music Favorite track: In the Noise of its Gestation.
    John Staley thumbnail
John Staley So textured, layered, and melodic. It hurts my brain to think this album started with a blank page. It's so cool, I'm a little offended.
    Harrison Phinney thumbnail
Harrison Phinney I’m not even gonna make a joke this time. This is just super sick. Enamel shredding tones, absolutely unsterilized music in the best way Favorite track: Years ov Lead.

Ln. Hendon This album will loop in my head for eternity. I played it on the stereo when i worked at a guitar shop and my boss said "that's not music." Little does he know - drugs can come in audio form.

zephyr707 Willow led me here! Pilentze Pee via Mir Stanke Le. The opening quotes in the description about sounds and the voice as an instrument resonate strongly with me.
My first intro to Agnes Obel and the Late Night Tales series, what a phenomenal idea! Love the mix of selections and original material, Bee Dance packs so much punch for its track length Favorite track: Agnes Obel - Bee Dance.
    Caleb thumbnail
Caleb Like all of the best Late Night Tales, Agnes Obel’s straddles the line between an expertly crafted mixtape and an art piece all its own. Favorite track: Lee Hazelwood - The Nights.

    Ben Harris thumbnail
Ben Harris Nyege Nyege Tapes offer up such singular treasures, music that is both startlingly novel as it is viscerally familiar. Mahavélouz is no exception to the label's trend, demonstrating that traditional music needn't stultify into a mere act of preservation. Brings to my mind a harsh alien world of oversaturated hues and cavorting scaly symbionts moving with an eerily machine-like precision. Favorite track: Dann kér Mahaveli.

    fyeahmetal thumbnail
fyeahmetal The vocals are great - I didn't realize they were female until I investigated. The rest of the band is killer, too, especially the drummer. This record reminds me of early Sanguisugabogg in that what sets things apart in the sonic muck is very interesting drumming. Here you get lots of cool rhythms, accents, and odd meters, with a beautifully recorded snare that sounds organic and alive. No over-compressed slickness here, just slams and more slams. Favorite track: Sonoluminescent Hemoglobinopathy.
    Skronk thumbnail
Skronk While I usually enjoy bands that are more technical when it comes to brutal death metal, it’s refreshing to hear a band that isn’t being transgressive just for the sake of being transgressive. Most excellent. Favorite track: Inhuman Torture Chamber.
    Alexander Pugachev thumbnail
Alexander Pugachev With their sophomore album, Stabbing cemented their place in the elite of modern BDM. Sick vocals, killer grooves, and lots of memorable riffs. Favorite track: Nauseating Composition (feat. Ricky Myers).
