Il ne boude pas son plaisir et puise dans moult cultures, exploitant des émotions inédites ! Favorite track: Silverfish.

Dean. Just. Dean. They are back, and it is a bit difficult to know what to make of this latest effort. But it is all the experimental, odd, hard to know what to make of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum we all know and love. Right on.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) On l'attend avec ce sourire en coin, ce "... and you!" dans la rubrique des remerciements du générique de fin mais Sleepytime Gorilla Museum ne nous aura pas donné ce plaisir : la seule figure qui comptait dans Of Natural History, c'était ce "bébédocteur". Et pour cause : il est à la source de In Glorious Times, troisième exposition du groupe américain. Il met à découvert une dimension juvénile, reprend des instruments enfantin et libère l'imagination. Mais les terreurs nocturnes sont proches... Favorite track: The Companions.

ClassyMusicSnob No way there's a repress of IGT! I'm q little disappointed the others haven't had one, but perhaps that is yet to come. It was 2007 when I first discovered SGM. I was just getting into extreme metal and found their video for Helpless Corpses Enactment. seeing this monstrosity my terrified teenage mind had to find the album it was on and still to this day this album is more extreme than many death or black albums. Im still waiting on SGM'S final album and hope this is a step in that direction 5/5 Favorite track: The Salt Crown.

Le groupe américain part à la recherche d'énergies primordiales : il se place sous la tutelle du loup et les voix, plurielles, innombrables, grognent et hurlent ; il respire les vapeurs de l'alcool et son rock en opposition se fait direct, impulsif. Le nourrisson devient le maïeuticien... Favorite track: Babydoctor.

da9ve My introduction to SGM was seeing them live (July 20, 2003, Indianapolis). The show opened with A Hymn to the Morning Star > The Donkey-Headed Adversary of Humanity Opens the Discussion, with the entire band in realistic full-headed animal masks. I was a convert before the spiky guitar even kicked in. This album, when it finally came out, got me through the first couple years of the second GWB administration; I'd've gone 'round the bend otherwise. Necessary, powerful stuff. Favorite track: The Donkey-Headed Adversary of Humanity Opens the Discussion.

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum n'a pas le temps pour les introductions en douceur. Dans Grand Opening and Closing, son album inaugural, il attrape les cordes de la guitare et les utilise comme des lianes, se balançant au-dessus des frontières entre rock, metal et musique circassienne. Il se moque de tout et détourne les instruments de leur fonction première. Sauvage ! Favorite track: Powerless.

chance It's everything I could ever want from an avant garde metal band. Heavy, strange, theatrical, twisted, experimental, difficulty figuring out whether I should laugh or be scared, and loads of fun. Favorite track: Sleep Is Wrong.

Jono Schneider The whole thing will swallow you whole and dissolve you with its heaviness. Favorite track: Eternal Golden Monk - forte.

Alexander Pugachev One of the few gems of the Djent era. Atmospheric, heavy, unique. None of the copycats even came close. Favorite track: Dagger - forte.
