klamath100 I know this got a lot of hype, but it is really very good. My most listened album of 2024. The mix of death metal, Krautrock, Floyd and psychedelic rock is so well done (and yeah, parts of it feel a bit like fan service to the greats, but that's ok with me). Favorite track: The Stargate [Tablet III].

cache_2 This album convinced me that Black Metal can be good sometimes.

marshy_1 Awesome synth prog with death metal, less for metal fans than prog fans Favorite track: The Stargate [Tablet III].

    The Midnight Toker. thumbnail
The Midnight Toker. One of my favorite records I own on vinyl but no digital, saw in my feed from a fellow camper I started to follow. It highlights aspects of the Deftones that at times can be overlooked due to their propensity to ferocity. If fans like this seek out Team Sleep and Crosses I wouldn't steer you wrong.

    D. Gwalia Because it does something impossible - it gives the guitar a unique new voice after all these centuries, a new star shining in the firmament, scattering antique rays at light-speed, until finally reaching our eyes, and ears...Highly cinematic.

    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. I often listen to TJAKTJADÀLVVE's new album alongside Sunken's new album, "Lykke." Both, with their epic, atmospheric, and depressive black metal, are perfectly suited for the dark season. The vocals on "Encompassing Nothingness" are quite raw, echoing, and more in the background than prominently featured. Harsh passages often flow seamlessly into quiet moments; for me, it's pure relaxation music: emotionally intense, but not dissonant. I'd recommend the closing title track as tryout. Favorite track: Encompassing Nothingness.
