  3. A Diabolic Thirst
    by SPECTRAL WOUND
    supported by
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One Supreme black metal. Dark and ferocious. I love the atmosphere, melodies, and high-pitched vocal style. The riffs at 0:00 and 5:03 in 'Frigid and Spellbound' are phenomenal, and 'Soul Destroying Black Debauchery' has been one of my most replayed tracks since discovering Spectral Wound — I can't listen to it without repeating that opener several times. This is what it's all about. Outstanding. Favorite track: Soul Destroying Black Debauchery.
    Ensomhed thumbnail
Ensomhed The intro riff to Frigid and Spellbound is insanely good. Would recommend that everyone on this planet listen to it and experience this amazing album for themselves 🖤 Favorite track: Frigid and Spellbound.
    bakum4tsu thumbnail
bakum4tsu I'm not sure if I enjoy A Diabolic Thirst more than Infernal Decadence, but this is definitely a great album!! Favorite track: Frigid and Spellbound.

fighter1312 Fantastic Black Metal with superb Vocals . Favorite track: I Who Repel All Light.
    Giz thumbnail
Giz Oh, lords of whatever.... This album never gives up, never settles, never lets you breathe. It crushes the hope within into a black obsidian ball of fury and shatters it into this howl of righteous anger, of disgust, of hate. It is beautiful. It is ugly. It sounds like a declaration of war, a manifesto, a warning to the liars and traitors.
Utterly magnificent. Utterly bereft. Hæresis are an ordeal you must undertake.

walkingtheliminalspace.blog/haeresis-si-vis-pacem-para-bellum/ Favorite track: I Who Repel All Light.
    Luke thumbnail
Luke Like watching a cathedral on fire and seeing all its dark secrets plucked from the sky by swirling devils. It’s tumultuous and awe-inspiring in the true sense. It makes you, a small thing, feel giant, without pandering to the insecurities of the most basic among us, as so much of this genre insists on doing. And that is, surely, is what you want from this kind of thing, no? A glowing embrace of transcendental defiance?

TONY ZAGORAIOS An absolute masterpiece. This is melancholic chaos at its most epic, masterfully organized into a musical manifesto. I’m captivated by the dark melodies woven beneath the speed and aggression. 10/10" Favorite track: Xibalba.

    jrsmith17 thumbnail
jrsmith17 Came into this album because I decided on a whim to start working through the projects Omar Rodriguez-Lopez has been involved with. Ended up falling in love with the album on its own merits, not to mention the strength of Teri's vocals. Cannot recommend it enough. Favorite track: The Eye Fell In Love.
    BeagleBay thumbnail
BeagleBay My favorite album from all those involved; magic was captured. Favorite track: Morning Sickness.
    Aidan Lewis thumbnail
Aidan Lewis Originally heard the track Eli during the credit roll for an episode of True Detective which after a brief search led me here to find an entire album of songs that absolutely captivated me. I've made a habit of listening to the entire album during a plane flight whilst looking out to the scenery and just letting the music completely absorb me. Favorite track: Eli.

    fyeahmetal thumbnail
fyeahmetal It's an interesting propulsion of a very specific late 90s prog thrash vibe into a 21st century uniquely Dysrhythmic framework. So you get cerebral and serrated riffs atop much more interesting drums than back in the day, though occasional passages break out into full-throated thrash, and those are quite fun. The magical Dysrhythmic harmonic beauty abounds, and my only gripe is that this record is too short. Well, just listen to it again! Favorite track: Plague Delay.
    Thomas Gelfer thumbnail
Thomas Gelfer Razor sharp technical riffage and killer drumming. Everything sounds so damn good, the production is slammin. Scratches the itch if you're looking for engaging instrumental metal \m/ Favorite track: Rule of the Mountain.

Katimavik86 Crushing and heavy from beginning to end but it begs the question: How and why did the original 10-track album turn into a 3-track EP? The app displays 10, the website 3. Favorite track: General Sherman.
