Stephen Taylor-Mills Ren’s Down the Road leans heavily into a deep, soulful blues sound, and it absolutely shines because of it.
There’s a richness in the tone straight away—those slow, expressive guitar lines feel rooted in classic blues, almost like they’re telling their own story alongside the vocals. It’s got that stripped-back, smoky feel, where every note matters and nothing is overproduced. You can hear the influence of old-school blues, but Ren makes it his own with a modern edge.
