    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Colossal ! Favorite track: Magical Thinking.
    OGさん thumbnail
OGさん Beyond The Palest Star fuses cosmic black metal and savage riffs with swirling synths into a tight, immersive sci‑fi journey. The pacing and melody shine—“Magical Thinking” especially delivers haunting beauty. Production feels dense at times, but the songwriting’s cinematic sweep makes it compelling throughout. A stunning sophomore outing. Favorite track: Magical Thinking.
    Abyssius Murkraken thumbnail
Abyssius Murkraken German melodic black metal with a sci-fi twist. From the moment this album kicks off I was entranced.
The passion these guys have for their music flows seamlessly through every riff, melody and scream. There's times where emotion grips you and times where the riffs pump you up. I cannot recommend this album and band enough, and thank god i stumbled upon them on Bandcamp! Favorite track: Terminal.

    doive thumbnail
doive Here's to some more cosmic metal, the Karlsruhe based outfit offers crude yet extremely well produced sound in this earlier effort.
Featuring mid-tempo cadences, occasional blast beating, high pitched shrieking essentially, the riffing has this mildly meaty, sensational over-atmospheric tilt that's always well received on my part.
The perspective of getting sucked into a wormhole had never felt better I kid you not.
Emperor and Inherits the Void in mind, you just can't skip this one. Favorite track: Last Transmission.
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 Never say Never, as they say, maybe just "later"... that's what happened to me with Vorga. Seen them live, was not in the right mood maybe, but the new release "Beyond the Palest Star" convinced me to give this album a try too, and I was happy I did. Vorga play very good, fine melodic Black Metal !! Favorite track: Fool's Paradise.
    mintymetal thumbnail
mintymetal so many gems in this album but after i went through this in order for my review, i kept returning to this anguished call to humanity, an emblem of despair in vast nothingness. a shred of hope dashed, as this album as a whole speaks to the annihilation of the ideals of humanity and the pedestals they sit on - and what happens when we watch all that shatter. there are plenty of outer space themed albums, but VORGA brings us something worth listening to. Favorite track: Last Transmission.

Brilliant vocals, amazing atmosphere, perfect riffs from intro to outro and supreme drumms blast beats.
Chapeau. Favorite track: La Noirceur des Limbes.
    mourner thumbnail
mourner The great vocals make this convincing piece of French black metal stand out and bring the necessary fierceness into this (mostly not too fast) release. Favorite track: Ego Daemonium feat. Hreidmarr.

    lord_byleth thumbnail
lord_byleth Amazing album, back to the roots for Diablation with a melodic Black Metal in the vein of early Seth and Ad Inferna debut. Ego Daemonium is a real highlight, gathering the two cult French BM singers with the collaboration of Hreidmarr. With a very diverse and keyboard led music by Orias, Hyde and VNA incredible vocals and lyrics by Arkames this album is easily in my 2021 top 10. Favorite track: Ego Daemonium feat. Hreidmarr.

bmurator French Atmospheric Black Metal. A one man, Hylgaryss, project. Hylgaryss' talents are huge & multiple & all of his other projects are well worth listening to as well! Here I would add the label of DSBM as well as it really comes through the tracks. I find the entire album incredibly cathartic for some reason & it helps me to let go of my demons for a while... :) A true work of art as with all of Hylgaryss' projects! No faves - I just can't! Highly recommended!!!

    Edit: Just can't stop listening!
