Christian I absolutely love this album. One of the best modern doom metal albums in recent memory. Excellent vocal work, great droning guitars, and an awesome fantasy backdrop to boot. Very reminiscent of the Sword but with more haunting vocals. Favorite track: CRYSTAL CAVE.

Sprenzee Castle Rat makes me want Golden Axe to be my true reality. Favorite track: WIZARD.

Sun. Disappear Castle Rat are absolutely killing it.

They’ve put in the time and paid an absolute fuck ton of dues.

I’ve seen them being disparaged in the Doom community over some misconceived lack of “riffs”. 🙄

Castle Rat are arguably 10x more Metal than 80% of whatever else that happens to pass as “metal” these days.

gleamingcube A pretty fascinating release. The band is able to pull off a variety of ideas in a cohesive, fun way. Thrashy riffing, industrial touches, and some slow brutal riffs collide with the most perfect rage filled vocals that truly encapsulate the frustration and desperation of the lyrics to make a memorable album. I could see this being popular with listeners across the hardcore/metal spectrum. Excited to hear more! Favorite track: Spill.

Sammy Boy Super cool, and totally worth a listen!

Andrew This is such a cool album. They wear their influences well and weave it all together into a unique flavor of hardcore. If you ever wondered what a Sepultura hxc record might sound like, I have a feeling it'd be something like this.
