for me personally, this album is a miss.

way too reliant on the vocals to carry the load, and the vocal theme is unfortunately repetitive and also mixed too far forward in the overall production. (again, imo)

previous releases are highly recommended, and by all means check this one out as well, everything is subjective.

sfalcon This project seems to go full ritual on this release, setting aside some of their post rock/black metal elements. More modal and restrained than usual, eliciting meditation/contemplation. I would not yet call it ambient, but it does have a trance inducing quality, nonetheless. Favorite track: Aylin.

bmurator Ethiopian Atmospheric Black Metal / Post-Rock. After the rich & fantastic discography that these guys can boast about, they can do no wrong! I simply cannot thank Yoma 🖤 enough for introducing me to this superb project... :) I Am really looking forward to it! Highly recommended!!!

killernecro A superb accompaniment to the story of Gilgamesh, it paints the Sumerian landscapes when necessary, only to become more aggressive and fast-paced during moments of combat. Considering that this is a collaboration between several independent artists, the result is astonishing.
