21bits Front to back, a funky, infectiously danceable electric sugar-rush. Saint Pepsi has a golden ear for samples and Hit Vibes proves that can be more than enough to carry a whole album. If this record doesn’t brighten up your day you need to check your pulse. Favorite track: Better.

silvacrypt One of the albums that kickstarted Future Funk. The added sidechain and electronic drums give all these songs a punch, making them much more enjoyable to listen to than the original samples ever were, at least to me.

The pitched down vocals give a sort of supernatural feel to these songs, it makes them more impactful in my opinion. Favorite track: Strawberry Lemonade.

jupiter0_0chan Lovestory is the electri-lofi sample heavy OST that will, inevitably, play when you find yourself fighting witches & demons with other-worldy (possibly moon derived) powers. Seriously though this is tight, fresh. Really does feel like a fresh drink of tea in the Summer. Total post anime-con party music. No idea how to explain this vibe better. Reminds me a lot of the crazy oldschool fan Persona 5 OST (if you know- you know). Feels like a solid expansion on that. Please support Lovestory. Favorite track: In Love.

Chris Buckminster This album brings me joy when I struggle to create joy on my own. "Screw it, we're doing it anyway" is a theme throughout. Excellent vocals with real heart in the instruments.
Fills me with longing for what I no longer have. Favorite track: The Nights of Wine and Roses.

Kirk Gauthier This album rips. I’ve passed on Japandroids for several years since discovering Polyvinyl Records, and I have to admit I regret that decision immensely. This album is fast, furious, and a LOT of fun. Favorite track: The House That Heaven Built.

David Fischer While Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0. clearly is the standout track for me, most of the collaborations are also insanely good. Soccer Mommy, Xiu Xiu, Perturbator and my beloved Youth Code in particular function so well with the sound of HEALTH, amplifying that dystopian sound and evoking future nostalgia and existential dread at the same time. The vibe and setting of Cyberpunk 2077 had a massive impact on me, and HEALTH's sound plays into that very well. The future will be dark. Dark, but fascinating.
