    by Asunojokei

    hdude thumbnail
hdude Highly energetic. Oscillating between euphoria and despair. Catchy as hell. An album full of bangers. Imagine Touché Amoré with less emo and more amore. Imagine your favourite Anime theme covered by a bunch of highly skilled metalheads on MDMA. Favorite track: In the City Where Cobalt Falls.
    benjaminjhwalter thumbnail
benjaminjhwalter Banger after banger. Melodicism. Screaming. Variety of moods. Neat! I recommend. Favorite track: Dogma.
    dstr thumbnail
dstr Beautiful cover art, and the album itself is phenomenal. There’s an upbeat J-pop/rock sound that unexpectedly works well with the band’s blackgaze sound. It’s a bit like what Deafheaven did with Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. Favorite track: Angel.

    dobrewieczorki thumbnail
dobrewieczorki Utterly beautiful, magnificent, heavy, devastating and somehow uplifting. Songwriting at it's best. Lyrics captivating and mesmerizing. Can't stop listening to the album, though it's demanding and not an easy listening. Album of the year as for now! Thanks for this masterpiece! Favorite track: Not Drinking Water.

burnitdwn Been looking forward to this one for a long time, and after a full listen, i havent a favorite track, the whole album just flows so beautifully. 12th great album in a row. Fantastic
    Obstacle of Affliction thumbnail
Obstacle of Affliction Yet again, November's Doom has crafted a superior album that forces me, at times against my will, to sing along.
This was my defense at my court hearing for disturbing the peace, but the judge who happened to be partially deaf didn't agree even after listening to a track.
That will teach me not to walk in the neighborhood at night with headphones on.
Outstanding album and well worth the price of the fine. Favorite track: Dusking Day.
    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. I've been following NOVEMBERS DOOM for a quarter of a century now, and since then they've consistently released top-notch death doom metal albums. Sometimes more atmospheric, sometimes heavier, or as balanced as on "Major Arcana." There are soulful passages with clean vocals and powerful death metal moments. They've been at the forefront of the genre for years, and upcoming classics like "Major Arcana," "Risking Day," and "Bleed Static" impressively confirm this. Favorite track: Dusking Day.

    Alex Lightspeed thumbnail
Alex Lightspeed Great EP from start to finish , however the surprise appearance of the ever elusive Lazerhawk, and what a pleasure to find him on the new MN84 EP. I was hard to pick between this and Overclock but I think the collab has so much movement with the lead that comes in to close the album out. Don't sleep on this one! Favorite track: Server Ghosts (feat Lazerhawk).

Abyssius Murkraken Excited to get my hands on this decadently sexy album!

[UPDATE:] This easily fits into my top albums of 2026! Highly recommended for any symphonic black metal fan. Favorite track: The Black Dragons Of Iswylm.
    Igor thumbnail
Igor The album art was what initially caught my attention (besides the obvious reasons...) because it looks very 90's-esque... Still I would say it is worth mentioning that it took 1 one track to make me blind purchase this... I have high hopes for this band and album! But so far I can already tell I will become a fan! I will add more when the full album drops... but man... I'm already excited! Favorite track: Carnal Tapestries Of Nailtorn Flesh.

    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica Beneath Moonlight’s debut EP is clearly the work of seasoned musicians, even if you have likely never heard of the other projects to which these enigmatic characters belong. On the surface, this is atmospheric and somewhat raw BM, but what elevates this amongst the large field of similar bands is the outstanding piano work which is not merely a flourish, but integral to the compositions. It also helps that I hear early Ulver, Arcturus, and Satanic Art-era DHG vibes. Title track is stunning! Favorite track: Beneath Moonlight.
    SC thumbnail
SC Have you ever been walking alone in the woods in the evening and felt a sudden urge that you need to run or else something is going to get you? that sudden, unexpected feelings of being pursued and that if you do not sprint at full force away you will be caught by whatever dark specter is pursuing you?

that's kinda what this feels like. In a good way. In the best way in fact.
