  1. Sings: The Inimitable Sound of Archie Henderson
    by Jazz Emu

    tequilabuya21 thumbnail
tequilabuya21 This album is a transcendent masterpiece! Full stop.

Nearly impossible to pick a favourite track here - I love them all. I’ll say Here It Comes because it’s the crescendo and nobody else has picked it. Although I am convinced the lyric is “Here comes the Conviction” not A Decision. But that may be an occupational hazard. Favorite track: Here It Comes.
    EviePatamon thumbnail
EviePatamon While I adore the typical funky tunes of Mr. Emu, I've always had a soft spot for the slower songs laced through his albums that give you a moment to ponder. This album is all those, and while not as quick to click with me as past albums, I've found it's growing on me more with each listen as I immerse myself in its smooth tones and serene vibes. When I crave tranquility this is an album I'll be pulling out. Favorite track: Dead>Serious>Life.
    galwahhh thumbnail
galwahhh Every song surprised me in a different way, one of those rare albums where the first listen feels like a landmark moment in your life. I'm eager to keep listening and unraveling all the interconnected themes, and very grateful this got a release. Favorite track: Beyond The Weather.

_zonkey_ This album is actually and unbelievably incredible. My ego is so dead I watched it wither away in front of my very (crispy) eyeballs, thank you Jazz Emu! Favorite track: Romanticise.
    sgtkilborn thumbnail
sgtkilborn Jazz Emu seems to be the best there is now at making hilarious comedy songs that are also absolute bangers Favorite track: I Could Get Into It.

    jackie_dee thumbnail
jackie_dee One of my favourite arts is when a person looks at a random Wikipedia article and goes “…Yea, that’s a good song.” Hence, Money as my fave track. It feels as though JE looked at a table of former English currency and was struck with divine inspiration. :) Favorite track: Money.
    CyanStrawberry thumbnail
CyanStrawberry Weaving serious works with comedic ones was the right choice for Jazz Emu's 2nd album! It shows that Emu has more range than people give him credit for, and listening to this utterly resuscitated my opinion of the artist. Looking forward to seeing what Emu does next. 💨 Favorite track: The Real Me.

    szaint thumbnail
szaint This album has wormed its way deeper into my brain every time I listen to it. This project captures the feeling of looking for connection with others, but coming up short in a way that connects to me like nothing else has. The fuzzy wailing of guitars on the peaks, together with the lofi filter on the vocals during the slower tracks, not to mention the splicing of Reggie that touches my YTP saturated heart, add up to something truly special. Eagerly awaiting the next time they pick up a guitar. Favorite track: long distance call.

H.L. Black metal from Iceland seems to be always a bit darker, harsher and colder, more serious or mystic. This is also the case with the stomping "För" and the lighter "Fimbulvetur" with its piano. Solid double-pack! Favorite track: För.
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator Icelandic Viking / Black Metal. This is stunning! I am not sure how it made it in my recommendations but I am glad it did!. Easily one of the best EPs of the year!. Highly recommended!!!
