Honest Lost Jon
Fantastic vocals, nicely spare production, and the finest whistling I've heard. Feels all of a piece. Summons a world that's wealthy in white oak, persimmon, and poke with bats flying above the gravel bar.
Nick oughtta take credit for the fine songwriting. I believe they are all originals except Diggin' Up Bones with a few edits re: negligee ownership etc. And Hill Folk is close to Cowpoke by Stan Jones.
