  1. Refugia Blues
    by Nick Shoulders

    Aaron J. Spooky (he/him) thumbnail
Aaron J. Spooky (he/him) This album is stripped down and simple in arrangement, leaving the clever lyrics and soulful vocals to take center stage. Shoulders is a fantastic artist and this is another great addition to his already outstanding discography. Favorite track: Dixie Be Damned.
    Honest Lost Jon thumbnail
Honest Lost Jon Fantastic vocals, nicely spare production, and the finest whistling I've heard. Feels all of a piece. Summons a world that's wealthy in white oak, persimmon, and poke with bats flying above the gravel bar.

Nick oughtta take credit for the fine songwriting. I believe they are all originals except Diggin' Up Bones with a few edits re: negligee ownership etc. And Hill Folk is close to Cowpoke by Stan Jones.

standerwenbach All the words to explain how I feel, put in the right order. Just hits. Deux Hurry is also worth mentioning, has caught up with Bored Fightin' fast. Favorite track: Bored Fightin'.

Meathead9999 Outstanding grooves, great production, with a vibe that just sucks you in when listening on headphones made this an instabuy for me! Great work! Favorite track: Gold.
    The Midnight Toker. thumbnail
The Midnight Toker. Lloydd is spot on this has Widespread Panic vibes, Habatat being from the Pittsburgh area makes sense since its a consistent stop by Panic over the years, I should know I went to all of them, been on the road seeing Panic since 1994. It has the all those boxes checked by any Panic fan or music fan. Tight rhythm section, great guitar work(George Era) and the vocals sound like Bell from his youth. Hail Habatat for the next generation of H.O.R.D.E.(you know who you are)Jamband fans out there.
    lloydd thumbnail
lloydd This record reminds me of the band Widespread Panic a favorite of mine. Funky blues, when the band jams it's fantastic. The vocalist sounds like John Bell from WSP and that is a compliment .There was some confusion with the order I was refunded did not get this CD. The band sent me their latest CD Homestead free of charge. Thank You .
    Favorite track: Mick The Mack.
