Eri the Switch Control room kinda ambiance. Also goes well with TIS-100.
    ubiquityxx thumbnail
ubiquityxx Very similar to Autechre's Oneum off Elseq 5 - character seems identical but flutter and glitch are back in the composition. Nice drone, feels very molek-syntez. Been waiting for someone to put this style in a game. gj
    Brendan Boyer thumbnail
Brendan Boyer I think I missed some in the middle somewhere, will have to go back.

coyohti Seems chill but has a certain tension to it - makes it a pleasing, spooky-relaxing piece.

    Dmitry Nevozhay thumbnail
Dmitry Nevozhay Perfect example of huge dark and cold icelandic atmosphere in doomy black metal frame. Staple of the genre Favorite track: Carrion is a Golden Throne.
    griefstricken thumbnail
griefstricken this album defied expectation and exceeded potential. still unmatched nine years later. Favorite track: Alignment Divine.
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator Irish / Icelandic Black Metal. This is one of those rare albums that makes me say "now what?". This is a one man, Wann or Stephen Lockhart, project & it is practically perfect in every way. The agression, the music - it is all there! These albums make me wonder what is left for all the other musicians to do. Luckily, BM is such a rich & diverse field that there will always be room for another "now what?" I believe... :) Very highly recommended!!!

    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One Five years after The Dreaming I, this follow-up continues the terrifying and wondrous music of Naas Alcameth's nightmarish shadow realms, creating one of the most innovative and fascinating sounds in extreme metal. "Ephialtes" is absolutely sensational, opening with incredible power, and building to one of the album's highlights starting at 1:31. "Incubatio" is equally cataclysmic, with its dark ambient intro, followed by blistering blast beats, until the apocalyptic shriek at 2:51 — unreal.
    Iraviya thumbnail
Iraviya In its attempt to convey the diabolical horror of this album, my amplifier collapsed into a singularity and began accreting nearby buildings along with their screaming inhabitants. I cannot stop it. It will destroy us all. Anyway, please enjoy this album as you await your doom. (Sorry about that.) Favorite track: Pnigalion.
    zirtonic thumbnail
zirtonic To quote the great Nathan Explosion: this album is "blacker than the blackest black, times infinity." Favorite track: Ephialtes.

bmurator Swiss Black Metal. The myths of Hades and Persephone & the Greek realm of the dead - I'm in!!! Fantastic songs throughout able to communicate a deep sense of dread & foreboding. Not sure how I missed it for so long but I am here now. Highly recommended!!!
    Nuclear Girl thumbnail
Nuclear Girl The Helvetic Underground Committee is undoubtedly the best "Circle" in metal right now. Lykhaeon's blackened doom-death is a shining example of their brilliance - thoughtful, characterful, but able to invoke a mighty stank face all the same.
    mourner thumbnail
mourner In addition to the great concept of this album the music is simply fantastic. While there's always an almost archaic and wild darkness creeping up on you the songs are slowly burning their way into your subconscious with their immense and hard hitting emotionality. You need to sit still and listen to Lykhaeon. So, please, take your time for this. You will be rewarded richly. Favorite track: The Whorish Arrogance of Immortals.

visperi Slow and heavy. I can't get enough of this, no matter how many times I listen it through! This album doesn't disappoint especially if you like the other ones! Favorite track: Im Zwiespalt.
    Ellery Beard thumbnail
Ellery Beard One of the best black metal albums ever made. Rock beats, droning hypnotism, sprawling psychedelic songwriting, and plenty of guitar effects and drum reverb. Favorite track: Im Zwiespalt.
