Despite being a sonic evolution from his earlier dungeon synth releases, the Smell of Rain still sits nicely alongside them as it's very much an album that speaks to the imagination first (if you know what I mean).
Musically, it's a collage of influences - lovely 'Enigma'esque' parts collide with industrial guitar and all mixed up with a great catchy, dark pop sensibility. Highly recommended.
