Carsten Pieper So, these dustbowl ballads belong to his "Gothic Americana" kind of releases, which are all, er, bulletproof affairs for me. The last song got selected for the new organ invention ;-) Favorite track: '...and all was dust'.

diskonaut I try my best to describe them for my friends. Everyone should listen to them! But I can't seem to get past saying 'British folk rock', not with a straight face.

tequilabuya21 My initial impression was “oh this is a bit Avant garde” which morphed into “I’m strangely drawn to this” which further morphed into “I better buy all their albums!” Favorite track: Scales will fall.

Trevor Stenson Soli – A gorgeous new release from Dave Newhouse, out today, April 4, 2025 on Bandcamp. Swirling, intricate alt-jazz with strong Americanterbury vibes—think Canterbury scene textures filtered through a Maryland lens. The interplay of layered horns, minimalist cycles, and subtle electronic touches creates something both cerebral and deeply listenable. Newhouse continues to carve out his own path post-Muffins, and this is one of his most immersive works yet. Highly recommended.

faceart Another lovely release. I've been in love with Salty Road Dogs Victory Anthem for almost two years, so it's nice to see that released on a proper LP. After a few listens, That Was My Garden is a real standout. Oh My Actual Days, Too True, and Who Are You Telling, Gus are also wonderful. Favorite track: That Was My Garden.

mikehoolboom Detailed field recordings made in Tbilisi unveil an underground life – of street musics, traffic-stopping drunken revelries, and most of all a delicious blend of textures that offer a delirium of sonic pleasures. Not content to present documentary evidence, each track offers a blend of moments and encounters, a theme-inspired montage that digs deep into the city’s unwanted histories.
