While both the previous album and this one have things in common, "The Age of the Saucers" doesn't have the signature theremin-like sound from "Invaders" or it's not as prevalent. It also has less blending of genres which made the first one a mix of shredwave, drama and cheese.
Nevertheless, Age makes for a great sequel: It sounds less "up in arms" and "resisting against an invasion". Instead, it paints the cold reality of the remaining survivors of the established otherwordly dictatorship.
