itzcoyotl Im glad to see Im not the only one who felt Box of Rain in Rocks in my Pockets. The bittersweet casualty of mortality in folk songs is a balm for the soul in times of grief; I need it, so I believe it.
    Justin Ludeman thumbnail
Justin Ludeman I listened to this song 5x in a row before therapy. I could have listened to it 5 more times. Make sure you read the song description <3

Jason Kemp John Darnielle knows just what to leave out. Telling moments you can hear the shape of as each story unfolds. Another great album. Could this be a Virginia Woolf reference? Favorite track: Rocks in My Pockets.

emanramen Finally! Another boombox album! The one we were all waiting for! TMG fans unite! Favorite track: Fishing Boat.
    endway thumbnail
endway I loved this album from the first go through, but it has somehow only grown more dear to me with every subsequent listen. This strange narrative about learning to say goodbye to the world and the things in it you love is haunting and deeply meaningful. Your Glow has become one of my go to songs for expressing grief. A fantastic and very unique record. Favorite track: Your Glow.

Nosferathree The Darned If I could start every day off with Abide With Me and end every day with The Last Limit of Bhakti, I'd be doing alright. And obviously Cobscook Bay is fantastic but too sad to listen to with regularity. Favorite track: Abide With Me.
    nightpool thumbnail
nightpool so so so so grateful to see the yoyo released brought back to streaming, they're some of my favorite songs of all time. Cobscook Bay in particular is such a dreamlike, ethereal song—about dealing with the aftermath of something so big and so impossible that you can't even get your head around it. Fictional character this song reminds me of most: Cassie at the end of the Animorphs series. Favorite track: Cobscook Bay.

    Luigi Sexpistols thumbnail
Luigi Sexpistols An album of mourning for the freedom of the open plains and the end of the Wild West era. Slide guitar in black metal is a sound I just want more of. Favorite track: The Cattle Thief.
    pinkytheent thumbnail
pinkytheent I am aboard the Wayfarer train and happy to be here!!! A fierce and smoldering record. Smoky, soot-stained, and violent, as many others have observed. I grew a Van Dyke, a full-body black denim suit with blood-red garnet buttons, and a brand new Stetson right out of my head just listening to the opening songs. It really feels like Wayfarer have hit a stride, one which follows its nose for good blends of music. Happy to have seen ya at FITM, in DC w/ Sonja, and now very excited to see you again! Favorite track: The Cattle Thief.
    bloodbrulee thumbnail
bloodbrulee A bewitching imagining of black metal lore set in the old American west. You can positively inhale the aura of despair and thick smoke that this record evokes. Grim cinematic atmosphere transmogrified into music. Favorite track: Black Plumes Over God's Country.

Heddbuzz (I.R. Puffinstuff) Giving thanks to King Volume for thinking of the tapehedds. Lord Loud join Jurassic Witch and Pale Keeper in a 3-tape set, Wut? Better reinforce the walls of the box - they might crumble under all that hevvy. Favorite track: Dirty Seeds.

Blackened Cvlt Reality. I jus discovered Eye Of Doom today through a YouTube channel reviewing Curse Of The Pharoah, So I streamed it on Spotify. My word I had to have listened to it 5 times at least. Crushing doom with elements of Prog and psychedelic.

Production and execution are A1. I look forward to future releases from this band. You love doom.....Get this!!!!
    Bucky thumbnail
Bucky Eye of Doom radiates with a vision of crushing doom swirling with groove and soaring with melodic solos. Can't wait to see where these guys go with this.
