Every one of their releases seems to come at exactly the right time and reflects on the way the world is and what we need to hear right now. This record has a matured sound and composition, building magnificently moving soundscape in their reliably epic style. The new ideas on this record blend perfectly into their recognisable sound and give it more feeling than ever. This album makes their music an important part of life.

JustAFleshWound L'Envol is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life Favorite track: L'Envol.

pinkytheent Like the dawn breaking over the land, a tiny bit then all at once, I was not sure about this record at first, and then was nearly in tears by the end. A flood of emotion like the light of day haloing the dark mountains, then piercing night in blazing rays and drowning all in sun. Every song seemed to surpass the previous. A deep well of feeling, meaning, spirituality, yearning, of connecting to the sandy lands of Elsewhere. I will treasure this album as art sculpted from the human soul. Favorite track: Flamme Jumelle.

Urso X Softer, dreamier, warmer, and a bit more ephemeral than Alcest’s last two albums (and harkening back in some ways to their earlier work) though no less accomplished. Sun-kissed and utterly gorgeous! Favorite track: L'Envol.

Urso X Sylvaine continues the spine-tingling brilliance she captured on Atoms Aligned, Coming Undone. Along with Heike Langhans, one of the most beautiful voices in music today, in any genre. Favorite track: Fortapt.

Inso I don't know how I missed the existence of Sylvaine. I've been listening for Alcest for quite a while now, as this genre resonates so greatly with my spirits. I discovered Sylvaine after a YT suggestion of their show filmed by Arte at Hellfest 2024. And I'm glad I clicked on the video. This is so great! Incredibly dense emotionally, beautiful voice which can go from the skies to the darkness of the souls with these screams. Really impressive work. I hope I can see Sylvaine live soon !
