rasputinthemute I popped this into the record player in my living room as the sun began to set out the front window. I cried as the light began to wane and I was brought to a distant world. Then i snapped out of it and cleaned the whole house as it played. Glorious. And the packaging, the penny, the art. This is somehow my new most prized possession. I need everything released by this band. Working on my collection now!
    tarhataz thumbnail
tarhataz This music really changed my perception of what music can be. GY!BE has become my favourite band and contrasts with my taste and collection. Truly a proud to own this album. Even framed the train picture on my wall. Its a beautifully crafted, from the music to the album cover and all the wonderful goodies.
    Favourite track: Bleak, Uncertain, Beautiful...
    Ezra Leeson-Schatz thumbnail
Ezra Leeson-Schatz simply amazing a breathtaking depiction of the end of times and one of the best albums ever written.

sashavonkarl74 When these guys play their music loud, tectonic plates are dancing and you get yourself a Tsunami of dissonant DM in your ears. Uneasy DM à la Ulcerate and Dead Congregation, Immolation and the likes! Furious, full-powered, cave-deep growls DM that disintegrates your neurons, if you have any left :)
Very very dense song writing, all assaults packed tight and delivering full body damage. Favorite track: Forgotten Lores of Hatred and Bloodshed.
    Darian thumbnail
Darian Ferocious yet enthralling, chaotic yet beautifully structured Favorite track: Veneration of Carnal Blasphemy.
    Matten thumbnail
Matten I remember hearing pre-release tracks, and wishlisted the album, then I eventually forgot about it. Big fucking mistake! Thanks Ippocalyptica for bringing it back into my feed.
I love it when they say "It's kind of like Abyssal" and it turns out to be kind of like Abyssal. Favorite track: Opulent Incarnation of Persevering Torment.

    Timothy Carr thumbnail
Timothy Carr Symphonic, bombastic, and completely over the top in the best possible way. They've transcended black metal and become something more: art rock. Proof that "avant garde" that does not always mean pretentious. Favorite track: Shadows Breathe First.
    Sean TPLTR thumbnail
Sean TPLTR Another masterpiece. Blut Aus Nord is an instant buy without hearing a note. Lots of subtle melody on this one! Favorite track: Shadows Breathe First.

sashavonkarl74 Very happy to finally see this Abbath/Immortal project on here, though I have the original CD and it costed me an arm and a leg to get it on Discogs, but still... happy to support for a digital version as well! Favorite track: Warriors.

wackabi This might be THE best voice in todays black metal. IMHO
    RJ thumbnail
RJ Blackbraid came storming onto scene seemingly out of nowhere in 2022 and since then have released 3 exceptional melodic black metal albums (as of 2025). A powerful performance with some of the best production you can ask for. Let’s hope this absurdly prolific and consistent project continues for a long time. 9/10 Favorite track: The Dying Breath of a Sacred Stag.
    KAMINARIハウス thumbnail
KAMINARIハウス This album is incredible in every way, so much so that I can't pick a favorite track yet. Indigenous Black Metal is something I didn't know existed, as well as something the BM scene desperately needs more of. Hails to Blackbraid\m/
