    Chimplord thumbnail
Chimplord Awesome death/doom that is on the same level as Gatecreeper and Temple of Void. Favorite track: Artificial Psychosis.
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Exceptional death doom, as moreish and hefty as it gets. This thing looms, gallops, then wallops you into submission. Favorite track: Decoration of Graves.
    tiernan ^▿^ thumbnail
tiernan ^▿^ It's when the atmosphere is slow yet unmistakenly brutal that makes a great deathdoom album. Crushing, furious, and oppressive piece of music.

Vratha Incredible album. There is so much happening in the songs, some egyptian melodies, some Country picking, a choir, this is a masterpiece front to back.

    RJ thumbnail
RJ Atmospheric black metal with careful melody and occasional light riffing. It’s not just the straight up wall of sound you see in this genre (which I also enjoy). Well arranged and well crafted. These are the soundscapes for winter. 7/10 Favorite track: Hunter And Prey.
    William Knight thumbnail
William Knight This is great. Catchy as hell, great riffs, really gorgeous production. Atmo black comfort food for a cold winter night.
    Succhini thumbnail
Succhini I can't express how much this album means to me. The vocals..it has me picturing them being carried in the winds of the bleak winter storms. Beautiful and dark. Favorite track: Northern Forest.

ஓநாய் மற்றும் நாய் மற்றும் I heard Hammer Smashed Face in high school and wanted to be in a death metal band because of it. Favorite track: Hammer Smashed Face.
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One Tomb of the Mutilated is one of the most iconic death metal albums ever, thanks to 'Hammer Smashed Face.' Seeing it in Ace Ventura blew me away. I only had the Vile CD back then, but Tomb, with Chris Barnes's classic vocals, delivered a fresh, crushing sound. 'Post Mortal Ejaculation' was — and still is — my favorite of the album: the slowed shift at 2:06, the piercing scream as the drums kick in, then the ferocious blast beats at 2:51. So many twists, and so brutal, especially for its time. Favorite track: Post Mortal Ejaculation.
    rvss.eel thumbnail
rvss.eel Hammer Smashed Face gets straight to the point as Tomb of the Mutilated fine-tunes Cannibal Corpse's ever-darkening death metal. The growls get a little lower, the speed gets a little faster, the riffs get a little sharper. The lyrics get a lot more mature. Uh, I mean, well, "darker" is one way to put it. Put aside the incredible character this band has created, one so strong it can overpower the music, and you still have top-tier death metal that actually still overpowers their grotesque image. Favorite track: Post Mortal Ejaculation.
