  2. Luv(sic) Hexalogy (OMA & Shing02 Live at Liquidroom)
    by OMA

    ⁵ㄥsᴉlælᴉɥԀ thumbnail
⁵ㄥsᴉlælᴉɥԀ In my opinion, this concert surpasses the original Hexalogy album.

Not only is everything live, but it also feels that the Uyama Hiroto's part 6 is finally "canonized" as part of the Hexalogy, beautiful stuff.

So envious of everyone that was there. Favorite track: F.I.L.O..
    jitterbug thumbnail
jitterbug fills me with absolute joy whenever i listen to this album. i start floating up into the air (as claimed by my imagined audience). pt 2 fits like a missing puzzle piece into my brain and i wept as i listened to it Favorite track: Luv(sic) pt2.
    facekickr thumbnail
facekickr Besides putting a massive smile on my face, this also brings tears to my eyes. To realize that it was 14+ years since Jun left us and in all that time, these songs are like well worn crevices in our hearts and souls. Thank you all for making this happen. Specially Shing02 and Uyama!! So pleased and grateful to you all. Favorite track: Luv(sic) pt3.

  3. freeform jazz
    by uyama hiroto

    Kob thumbnail
Kob I found this album back in 2016 while talking to a dear friend about where to begin with listening to jazz music. This discovery of freeform jazz by Uyama Hiroto was one of the most sensational happy accidents I have ever had. This album is as cutting as it is soft, raw as it is polished and tight as it is free flowing. Hiroto captures magic in a bottle and hands you a swig with this album. A journey and a gem. Favorite track: Route 16.

troyfletcher Oozes style. On repeat for months for me
    Tom Colquhoun thumbnail
Tom Colquhoun This album runs like glacial melt, cool, pure and glittering. Large jazzy bass-steps pad the spine which crystaline keys, shuffly drums and glowing sax sprout from. Pure free joy and lightness of being; a cup of enervating tea for the soul. Favorite track: Yin And Yang.

  1. Tennyson

Mary Rose (Prologue) Mary Rose (Prologue)
    supported by
    Erik Lutsch thumbnail
Erik Lutsch The melodies feel like they were orchestrated by a fallen angel. The feeling is that of reminiscence, of a better time. It's a sad and longing sort of love. Favorite track: Mary Rose (Prologue).
    Kate thumbnail
Kate This album is atmospheric and sensual. It also draws from history with classical piano sounds but also blends well with modernity. Perfect for a cloudy day. Favorite track: Mary Rose (Prologue).
    Jason V. thumbnail
Jason V. Perhaps their "darkest" (foremost in terms of sound, but also in regards to context) work yet, Tennyson's music has matured both in style and complexity. Seemingly inspired by the Wars of the Roses, the songs on this album are appropriately stirring yet haunting. Favorite track: False Enemy (of Mary Tudor).
