You know how you put an album on and you immediately know it's amazing and for you?
Absolutely, disgusting how quick I fell in love with this...
Favorite track: Apprehension.

Tunic is a force of nature infused with sarcastic rage and societal apprehension.
If you like your music noisy and driven by an absolutely pummeling rhythm section that manages to stay groovy as hell, this is the band and album for you.
Favorite track: Fake Interest.

Canada's best new noise rock band goes from strength to strength. Great work, folks!

Really this entire album is fantastic!
I have a hard time deciding.
Favorite track: Obsession.

Sexy with a major "S". Gothic. Hipster. Cat-like, but catty as well. I love the interplay between the male-male vocalist and the fe-male singer: feels like heaven und earth. If you read/use the I Ching, you know what I mean. But seriously, this feels like a really sleek fashion show gone terribly awry: think of a Hugo Boss exhibition suddenly morphing into the 80s classic nuclear porn "Threads". I can't write any more.
Favorite track: Killing Time (Is Over).

Not one weak track, and the vinyl is a really quality pressing! Just buy it. Hard to pick a favorite, but "Obsession" just hits me the most.

I’m a sucker for handclaps, so “I JUST WANT A PIECE” does it for me.

This gives me the same feeling I got when listening to Saccharine Trust's "Pagan Icons" for the first time. Such a great record here. Abrasive and tuneful at once. Favorite track: SANITATION.

The muffled vocals had held me back from listening to this album but I’m giving it a shot.
Of course I like it but it could have been another Only Life if the vocals were better.

As a lifelong fan of psyche, I was delighted to have found this, stunned that I'd missed them for three decades and devastated by the news of Dallas' passing. Makes many of the album's lyrics even more poignant. I hear echoes of the Chocolate Watch Band, Long Ryders and both the pop and country sides of the Byrds. Stunning, and a contender for my album of the year.
Favorite track: Better Yet.

I realised from the first few chords on this album that the Sadies have something here... reminisces of Rain Parade, Early REM, Long Ryders, Patti Smith. A time of gorgeous uplifting melodies, brought back into the real time NOW.

I have loved this band for many years, and honestly, I don’t think they have ever released a better record. We love you Sadies, here and absent.
Favorite track: So Far for So Few.

Human Inane, Count, Flux, Stink and Anxiety jump out for me. Really good!

I love this album. You can’t really pigeonhole it to a specific genre. The guitar will slice through you at times. The vocals are a little no wave. Sometimes the bass has a sludgy doom vibe to it. Then out of nowhere the song will break into something completely different. It pushes boundaries. Great debut full length.
Favorite track: Unleash.
