Jason Isbell is a master storyteller, and his music gives it so much more room to shine. Every song is so lovingly produced with amazing lyrics to make them stand out even more.
Favorite track: Save the World.

Gotta love "King of Oklahoma" and all the other tracks on this kickin' country rock album. Love "White Berretta" too. Who'd know someone would write a song with this otherwise forgotten Chevy as a central subject.

The original album for his career as a solo artist. Of his first three albums, it is the most country. It is a style of country music though that has a contemporary styling with foundations in a classic sound like that of Waylon Jennings.

Seriously, what's NOT to love about this album? 'You Can Have The Crown' just might arguably be the best country song of all time!

I've always loved honky tonk country and it's been a long hard road to find Sturgill. Now that I have, I hope he will keep it going until I die. Good shit man.
