ZangaPF That weird moment when you realize that the live version of Oceanic sounds better than the remaster. Favorite track: Weight (Live).
    David Duma thumbnail
David Duma What I consider as their best album, it's Oceanic from start to finish and is every bit as massive and deep as the recorded predecessor. Weight might be one of the heaviest songs ever written... Favorite track: Weight (Live).
    Matt thumbnail
Matt Isis made Oceanic better than the original album in this live performance. Favorite track: The Beginning and the End (Live).
    Fred Jorissen thumbnail
Fred Jorissen one for the collection. I also got the Antwerp Live Concert Recording in 2008.

hulkshare You guys clearly still have a love for your craft. This record felt like a big hug from a friend I hadn't seen in 20 years but when we reconnect, it feels just like riding a bike. Massive kudos on the excellent work. Favorite track: Starboard.

menee I think Xenophanes had actually beat out Se Dice Bisonte for me over the years, and it is so freaking cool to experience this reimagining of the album. It's a really interesting blend of older work with newer stuff like Zapopan (I can hear a little Spell Broken Hearts on Vidrio de la Fe, for example). Absolutely love it! Favorite track: Ojos Negros.
    Max8me thumbnail
Max8me Real Pleasure to listen to theses songs since Xenophanes. Love the work! youtu.be/s_R3FX-JkhE?t=19m15s Favorite track: Un Abismo Bendito.

    RJ thumbnail
RJ Black metal of the American West. Wayfarer have taken a somewhat niche theme and successfully transformed it into a style of atmospheric black metal that not only grabs but keeps your attention throughout. Very well done… very well done indeed. 8/10 Favorite track: The Dreaming Plain.
    dainton thumbnail
dainton Not a duff track on it, for some reason some of it reminds me of FOTN! It must be the dusty western influences? I'm looking forward to catching them live later this month Favorite track: Animal Crown.
    nakilep thumbnail
nakilep The tag atmospheric makes total sense, to me, here. I felt as if I was, wherever Wayfarer intended to transport me at their own pace. Focused, at times, and totally lost in the roaming melodies at others. Not even electricity (by way of instruments) couldn't get in the way of this connection.

Piper Haqim To say I’m surprised is an understatement. Holy shit, this is a great listen. Favorite track: Masquerade Of The Gunslingers.
    honeycombguy thumbnail
honeycombguy My favorite albums in black metal tend to be those which incorporate elements of folklore, folk music, and overall atmosphere from a band's homeland into the established conventions of the genre. Drudkh, early Ulver, and even Panopticon are all bands that have used this formula to make great albums.

Well, this album's combinination of the aesthetics and folk music from the old American west with black metal has definitely caught my attention. It's quickly become a new favorite of mine! Favorite track: The Iron Horse (Gallows Frontier, Act II).

    Luigi Sexpistols thumbnail
Luigi Sexpistols An album of mourning for the freedom of the open plains and the end of the Wild West era. Slide guitar in black metal is a sound I just want more of. Favorite track: The Cattle Thief.
    pinkytheent thumbnail
pinkytheent I am aboard the Wayfarer train and happy to be here!!! A fierce and smoldering record. Smoky, soot-stained, and violent, as many others have observed. I grew a Van Dyke, a full-body black denim suit with blood-red garnet buttons, and a brand new Stetson right out of my head just listening to the opening songs. It really feels like Wayfarer have hit a stride, one which follows its nose for good blends of music. Happy to have seen ya at FITM, in DC w/ Sonja, and now very excited to see you again! Favorite track: The Cattle Thief.
    bloodbrulee thumbnail
bloodbrulee A bewitching imagining of black metal lore set in the old American west. You can positively inhale the aura of despair and thick smoke that this record evokes. Grim cinematic atmosphere transmogrified into music. Favorite track: Black Plumes Over God's Country.
