  1. Songs Of Hiraeth
    by Panopticon
    supported by
    Jonathan Campbell thumbnail
Jonathan Campbell I got this and Laurentian Blue on CD but I literally rebought this on here just to say that The Eulogy is genuinely one of the best songs I've heard from Panopticon and that's saying something. Absolutely mind-blowing that B-sides and unused material still makes for an incredible (and cohesive!) entry into a storied discography, I haven't seen something like that happen since System of a Down's 'Steal this Album!'. Favorite track: The Eulogy.
    Bart thumbnail
Bart Seeing the growth of songs that were originally recorded about 15 years ago. You can hear the earlier Panopticon feel with the despondency and epic touches started to lay their roots. This isn't one of the best albums by Panopticon, but most can't even reach these heights. Favorite track: The End is Growing Near.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Sublime ! Favorite track: From Bergen to Jotunheimen.

termite_gag_reflex Little bit late with this purchase, but as soon as I saw new stuff from panopticon I knew I needed to buy it. this does not disappoint! love your music austin Favorite track: The Poetry in Road Kill.
    Joan thumbnail
Joan An album i can't listen to the entirety of without having tears in my eyes. Just Ely it's often a light in the dark for me. Thank you. Favorite track: Ever North (Laurentian Blue).
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Broken Bars.

    maxlphillips thumbnail
maxlphillips This feels like being forced to listen to the album of the year through a thin, muffling film. The compositional beauty is consistently and pervasively mind-blowing – never letting go of my ever-pleased attention – but the recording quality almost castrates it. Despite that, I came out of this thoroughly harrowed; unrelentingly pummelled with gorgeousness to the point of complete cleansing and reinvigoration. Favorite track: Ghost Eyes in the Fire Light.
    Aimfri thumbnail
Aimfri I'm not crying, you're crying! Favorite track: A Culture of Wilderness.
    Joni Korpi thumbnail
Joni Korpi Some damn good catharsis in here. Favorite track: Woodland Caribou.

  4. The Quiet Self (Piano)
    by State Azure
    supported by
    Geology Penguin thumbnail
Geology Penguin A production showcase- I haven't heard piano voicings this rich since Vincent Corver's "Sleeping Piano" EPs - as others have stated its not so much about the chops as the atmosphere, this album is a portal. I'd like to see the Improvisations broken into respective tracks for ease of playlist integration but one can't complain- this collection is a real treat, sit back and let the world melt away Favorite track: Seven Lights.
    @KillTheBuddha thumbnail
@KillTheBuddha Brilliant pianoskills? No. Brilliant compositions? No. But man, oh man, the atmosphere is not of this earth. Beautiful soundtrack for contemplation, meditation and bliss. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!!!
    chefsolar thumbnail
chefsolar Divine inspiration. Pure peace and light. Thank you. Favorite track: Piano Improvisations II.
    Wellenberg thumbnail
Wellenberg State Azure has always made good music, but I think this album is his best so far. Absolutely fantastic. I hope there will be more albums like this with piano music. I love it. Favorite track: Piano Improvisations II.

  5. World Maker
    by PSYCHONAUT
    supported by
    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer It took me forever to finally get to World Maker, and I instantly wish I could travel back in time to listen to this sooner. From the first to the last note, this album is beyond brilliance and would've definitely made my Top 10 list of 2025. It transcends music, emanating an intense presence. Music to erect your inner, spiritual shrine to and bathe in the glory of the goddess of the dawn (whatever that means). The soundtrack of a celestial, golden, glowing sphere illuminating the sky. Grand! Favorite track: All In Time.
    my_shadow thumbnail
my_shadow I am not musically inclined to explain technical things like time signatures, etc. I’m sure there are aspects of this bands talent that I could never do justice, especially in 500 words. All I know is, the album World Maker is amazing! It’s a masterful piece of music that combines mood with power. Restraint with intensity. As soon as I heard “You Are The Sky”, I was immediately hooked! An all-time favorite for me.

Give this record/band a listen. You won’t be disappointed!! Thanks Psychonaut!
Favorite track: You Are The Sky....
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica It has taken me years to appreciate Psychonaut’s approach to progressive metal, which is equal parts post-metal and psychedelic, but now, as I have come to realise, they are a lot more distinct-sounding and coherent than several of their contemporaries. I do see some similarities to The Ocean (which is probably why I finally like Psychonaut), but the music here is less busy, less aggressive, and a bit warmer. World Maker sadly features one bad song, but the rest are total fire! Powerful stuff. Favorite track: You Are The Sky....
