    ladyclose thumbnail
ladyclose once again has the magician of dark synthwave chiptune done it. You never think that they will be able to make a better album than the before one but here we are once again. Music that truly inspire you to write, draw or create. Favorite track: RAM.
    pablo thumbnail
pablo When electronic is more metal than metal itself. Literally, addressing the bare metal with song titles in this album but also sharing an improved, more polished version of MASTER BOOT RECORD signature sound. Favorite track: CPU.

warlord_shado My favorite MBR album. Favorite track: HDD.

    Outland Writer thumbnail
Outland Writer Initially I didn't think this album was as good as Afterglow (FW's previous album) but it has grown on me, and now I think the quality surpasses the last album. If there had been another track featuring MAXTHOR, I think this could have been absolute perfection. As it is, it's darn close. Feel the Beat, featuring the lovely ladies of PRIZM is a stirring, sexy track that stands just above the rest, although Tomorrow Comes Today feat Nouveau Arcade is a close second. Favorite track: Feel the Beat (feat. PRIZM).

Joonas Laakso Condenses everything I love about chiptune into a short album. Would love to dance to this! Favorite track: Tape.
    Bronson Ray Arabie thumbnail
Bronson Ray Arabie As noted on my Clouds EP review, the whole of the album takes Game Boy/NES-inspired beats and rhythms and applies techno inspirations onto them in such a glorious fashion. HELIX works in the exact same way, but has certainly evolved to create such a aurally-dominating set of songs to keep people hooked on Skip Cloud, and all of his previous songs. Favorite track: Young Blood.
    Madt Loput (Plutonion) thumbnail
Madt Loput (Plutonion) Electro-chip that hits and hits and doesn't quit. A brief but excellent album, like a photon beam through your ear canal.

Bright, dancey chipmusic with an almost grandiose, super-terrestrial feel. Spacey. Human. HELIX. Favorite track: Young Blood.

  6. Clouds EP
    by Skip Cloud

    Bronson Ray Arabie thumbnail
Bronson Ray Arabie Primarily, I purchased this album because the track I favor so much, Houston We Have A Problem, is probably one of my most favorite LSDJ productions ever; Not only does it clearly take it's roots from the jumpy, happy, and nostalgic times of Game Boy and NES music, and applies them to much more techno-inspired rhythms is a certain treat to anyone who decides to come across this underrated genre. Clouds EP as a whole, of course, also makes use of that same musical convention. Favorite track: Houston We Have A Problem.
    Daria L. M. thumbnail
Daria L. M. An excellent primer for the first Skip Cloud release and style.

Lots of melodic chip, with a decently styled-formula throughout each track. Some loud and dark drops in a few tracks, and an overall pleasurable listen. Favorite track: 157 Miles.
