    Unhinderedbytalent thumbnail
Unhinderedbytalent Thematically exploring trauma, death, infinite reincarnation and the desperate futility of lives that make the same mistakes and meet the same end, this is not the most cheerful of subject matters to be committing to tape. Such ideas remind me very much of Akhlys, who are one of my favourite artists over several releases now.
    TomCush thumbnail
    TomCush Gloriously weird.
Veilburner sound like no one. The music keeps you guessing throughout; veering from very heavy sections to eerie melodies. All of which create an intense hypnotic feeling of unease throughout.
The vocals are truly unique and initially quite startling. Yet, they make total sense in this context.

I can tell this is one I'm going to discover new things in with every listen. Bonkers brilliance!
    alexiofire thumbnail
alexiofire A haunting cacophany of rabid ghouls howling from a forgotten cavern. That's how Id describe them. A wild ride from start to finish, they really have blended numerous genres and created something unique. A truly talented group of individuals. Favorite track: Pestilent Niche.

    Lily Casablancas thumbnail
Lily Casablancas I’m always on a journey to find the most unique and sonically pleasing extreme music out there, and this has definitely been one of my best experiences on this journey yet! Brutal, yet thought provoking and almost meditative. I just can’t get enough! Might be my new favorite band! Favorite track: Shadows of a Shadow.

StrengthWithin Heaviness. This might be in the dictionary under “heaviness” Favorite track: Sempiternal Penance.
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator Canadian Death Metal. Woah! Those deep vocals again! They are an absolute delight for me... :) They give a depth that is really quite unique imho & they give the album a possibly even more crushing atmosphere than its predecessor "Foreordained". Thanks DD for your sale! No faves yet. Highly recommended!!!
    Alec Jasper thumbnail
Alec Jasper This is amazing. Heavy sound, the doom is doomy, the death metal parts are deadly. One of the best records of the last year for me.
    TheCitizensOfGravity thumbnail
TheCitizensOfGravity you can't see Phobocosm live because they're so heavy that light can't escape the stage
