    emajiro thumbnail
emajiro It's so hard to pick a favorite song when every single one is so... original? They're all so different yet so congruent - it feels unfair to judge. Start to end this album is absolutely fantastic. Favorite track: Sacred River.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Magistral ! Favorite track: The Veiled Sea.
    Sten thumbnail
Sten Just a beautiful progression from a very energetic start. Love that track and how it tied it into its level. Favorite track: Dreaming of vengeance.

    Kenny McGalem thumbnail
Kenny McGalem Whether it’s pure groove found in bands like TesseracT and Periphery, progressive metal is full of surprises. Novelists showcase their capabilities by melding crushing breakdowns with atmospheric touches. The guitar work is savory, providing a plethora of exciting solos. Clean vocals soar when needed, and harsh vocals have balanced ferocity and heft. Novelists have crafted a masterful debut LP, mixing crunch and atmosphere to near perfection, whilst maintaining the catchy qualities of both.
andy hazel from indefinite execution thumbnail
andy hazel from indefinite execution A classic of French djent. Spot-on production, amazing melodies and just the right amount of heaviness.
    piotr. thumbnail
piotr. Novelists are killing it with the numerous singles they've been putting out. This song in particular is massive, spanning over six minutes in length. Powerful clean vocals used in conjunction with screams soar over the atmospheric grooves and breakdowns.
