ALWAYSmusic This album is still the best example of the Italian underground experimental scene, as well as nailing the whole "Italian Occult Psychedelia" aesthetic. This has to be one of the most underrated albums of the 2010s.
    Jakob Bellamy thumbnail
Jakob Bellamy This isn't the album you listen to tirelessly day in and day out. But that's not what they're trying to achieve, either. In Sun and Violence, Heroin in Tahiti act as shamans inviting us on an adventure promising to excite the chakra. Favorite track: D12. Costa Concordia.
    Jeffrey Postma thumbnail
Jeffrey Postma Great album! The bleak uncompromising landscape on the cover fits very well. Very atmospheric and despite featuring a diverse range of style it has a very coherent feel. Favorite track: B04. Black Market.

    Rosewater They thumbnail
Rosewater They I am very pleased with this whole album, it has this energy that is impossible to resist. It gets me dancing even in public. Favorite track: ist halt so.
    Skyder Web thumbnail
Skyder Web every song on it a 10/10 for me. its an impossibly good execution of amazing artist with something to say. It is best experienced listening to it straight thru. It starts off much more noise heavy than I expected, but when you lean into the dissonance you come out to harmony so much more ready, it sinks deeper. Favorite track: I'll Ask Her.

    revolutionarydogboi thumbnail
revolutionarydogboi Friend Opportunity is the peak of Deerhoof's melodic chaos sound. Every album is a soundscape within itself, but Friend Opportunity highlights the bizarre beauty discordant noises can make that reflect the often magnificent, ugly, absurd reality, but most of all majesty of the reality we live in. Favorite track: +81.
    Greg Bowers thumbnail
Greg Bowers Wonderful distillation of why Deerhoof is good and weird and perfect. Favorite track: Choco Fight.
