building a new one for 2027, your new release seems quite a cosmic response to my momentum.

Donovan Murphy Only Midori Hirano could marry the shimmering orbital mechanics of her opening track to a fluttering, Satie-esque closer. OTONOMA takes flight in all directions. Favorite track: Warped In Red.

mikaellind Lovely album. The synths twist, bend, and turn, and the piano avoids all the clichés of the genre. A favourite of 2026 so far. Favorite track: Illuminance.

Nuclear Girl Been on a massive XTC kick recently (and was lucky enough to see Cardiacs live earlier this month too!) so this band popping up on my feed was perfect timing. Keep being weird! Favorite track: Mir.

Brent Davis Odd in a way I don't usually care for; by the time I reach track 12, I find myself rethinking my life choices - do I even know who I am & what I like?

The upshot being: Tinned Meats must've unleashed something pretty darned interesting upon the world...

Monkton Wylde The very idea of tinned meat fills me with disgust, but I'm getting hints of The Fall, Mothers, Cardiacs, The Beatles, Rush and god knows what else. But it's very much its own thing, the NOW THING? I don't know (I'm 52 ffs) but I'm gonna get a spoon and tuck in cos it's tasty Favorite track: Chorea.

Ilya S Must be something in the water in Sheffield, since it produced both those guys, Clock DVA and Cabaret Voltaire. Cardiacs weren't from Sheffield, but their influence is palpable as well.
