Erzonius Amazing split with good production and high quality blackmetal. The last two Beenkerver tracks are probably my favourites :-) Favorite track: Een Kansspel Voor Het Graf (Beenkerver).

Urso X An extremely well-paired split that plays like a cohesive album. Having loved the tortured high drama on Kodex Luzifer, I came to this purely for Excommunicatio and was not at all disappointed. Beenkerver, otoh, is a totally new act to me, and their atmospheric contributions here are nothing short of ✨magnificent ✨ Could easily be my split OTY! :)

A touch more subtle, reeling in the riffs and swirling atmosphere in favour of a more direct and subjectively earthy approach, Détresse offer their songs in a rawer way that gives certain moments a bump in power

This is most pertinent in the rasp and screams of the vocals, with a harshness that is inescapable are they are overtaken by a frigid desperation Favorite track: Pessimisme.

This takes profusely from the unholy trinity of BM veins: BFMAF, occult and ABM, and blends them into its own powerful concoction. I drool to the songs in German, of course, but French is a devilish spice on top, what a brew...
