  1. Agonal Hymns

    DAMIENHEARSE thumbnail
DAMIENHEARSE When I was first getting into Death Metal I looked up "What is the most brutal, crushing, heaviest death metal record that's ever been made?" The internet pointed me to this record. They didn't lie. Agonal Hymns is so heavy as to transcend and become hypnotically ambient, like the transfixing sound of roaring river rapids.

fridge13 pure brain degradation Favorite track: The Seeping Pus of Ancient Wounds.
    vvill thumbnail
vvill This album is so overwhelming that it's forced me into a state of absolute zen-like calm. Favorite track: The Seeping Pus of Ancient Wounds.

Cookieat First listen was on headphones and I didn't get the point.
    Then listened again on speakers...
    Loud...
Then the ascension began... Favorite track: Kolob (At the Throne of Elohim).
    Jono Schneider thumbnail
Jono Schneider Nasty as a wall of rotting meat blanketed by mad flies buzzing madness at the feast. Brutal as a locked windowless basement into which you’ve been dragged, screaming. Favorite track: Womb Exegesis.
    Der Ohlsen thumbnail
Der Ohlsen "Profanation of the Adamic Covenant" locks you inside a rotting coffin, pushes the thing down mountain slopes and drags it through swamps in a full moon night. Suffer the bruises, breathe in the scent and enjoy the ride!

    StargazerIV thumbnail
StargazerIV So crushing and heavy, like titanic pillars of salt striking the earth. Massive riffs with lots of atmosphere, tempo shifts and dissonance. Highly, highly recommended. Become embraced by the void! Favorite track: Kolob (At the Throne of Elohim).

CelticSon Wonderful jazz interpretation with oriental moods.
    Rudi thumbnail
Rudi Coming from the melting pot of London and Lahore, Jaubi enchanted the enlightened audience at Moods, Zurich, in October 2025 with pieces from this album. Starting quietly with just sarangi and tabla, the band developed the concert into more hip hop-inspired tunes. An unforgettable, wonderful evening!
    Rosemary Nuts thumbnail
Rosemary Nuts I heard Nafs at Peace for the first time five days ago and instantly loved it. I haven't stopped listening to it since. Then today this popped up in my feed. Deep, beautiful, soulful, spiritual and at times danceable. Fusion involving sarangi, tabla etc so often falls flat on its face as a hippy pastiche, but this soars to the heavens. Incredible. Thank you. Favorite track: A Sound Heart.

The music is very varied as well & I would say the is Bál's very best - so far... :) Thank you so much for your music Bál! No faves - at least not yet & it is going to take very *many* repeats to find one at all... :) Highly recommended!!!

dobrewieczorki Utterly beautiful, magnificent, heavy, devastating and somehow uplifting. Songwriting at it's best. Lyrics captivating and mesmerizing. Can't stop listening to the album, though it's demanding and not an easy listening. Album of the year as for now! Thanks for this masterpiece! Favorite track: Not Drinking Water.
