Megadoghammer Best album I've heard all year without a doubt! Very well put together. Almost impossible to pick any kind of favorite. It's like the culmination of all their previous work boiled down into 43 minutes of badassness! It starts out hard and weaves back and forth to end very climactic like Pink Floyd meets Baroness! Delphinium Arbus I've never heard the original album, but I can definitely say that I'm very impressed by the remaster of Hoping. Excellent vocal work and instrumentation. Each of the songs are great, but I think my favorites have to be Hoping (and its piano version) and Carry On, which have my favorite lyrics of the album (although Smell the Roses and Sun and Moon take a pretty close second). Micah Walter This album shines with two musicians who absolutely love what they do, and are terrific both at contra-focused instrumental music and songs! The sheer energy of the reels (especially Master Crowley's, which I'm obsessed with) is stunning, and the banjo picking on Lonely Road and others begs me to listen to it again and again. I'm not the biggest fan of all the styles on the album, but I can tell that the musicians' hearts are behind it, and that's good enough for me overall!
